Maximizing gaming performance // Manjaro (Help needed)

I’ve decided to use Manjaro as my main gaming os for my lower end laptop, since the benchmarks in games such as Minecraft, Terraria, etc. really surprised me. That’s why I wanted to ask some questions regarding my next Manjaro installation:

Which DE would you recommend using to achieve better performance?

Is it worth it using a custom kernel or should I stick with the most recent stable kernel available on the system options?

Which apps are safe to delete after a fresh install of Manjaro (wanting reduced ram usage)

Best combination of compositor settings? (not sure if it affects performance or latency in-game)

Last but not least, does anyone know additional performance or latency tweaks that can make an impact in-game?

–Thank you in advance

xfce
you don’t need to delete anything, apps don’t use ram when there not running.
compositor, just turn off the extra effects.

your thinking like a windows user, linux isn’t windows.
