I Clicked on Manjaro xfce update icon.
Pamac showed 1.6Gb of updates.
I clicked “Apply” to accept and install the updates.
After a few minutes - it finished and stated that I needed to REBOOT to complete the changes.
I clicked to reboot.
After several times trying to reboot, scrolling text on black screen is the only thing I see, as in the attached picture.
Why is this happening??
Do you need to see the log files to help fix this lock up? If so, how do I find them?
Right now, I’m using my computer with a manjaro live USB stick.
Where do I go from here?

Thank you for responding - I was so busy - I forgot.
The 5.13 kernel is long EOL, thus the driver headers for it have also been dropped.
Do you have other kernels installed?

Thank you for responding - the currently running kernel is my Manjaro live usb I’m now using to run the computer.
[manjaro@manjaro ~]$ manjaro-chroot -a
grub-probe: error: cannot find a GRUB drive for /dev/sdd1. Check your device.map.

==> Mounting (ManjaroLinux) [/dev/sda2]

[manjaro /]# mhwd-kernel -li
Currently running: 5.13.19-2-MANJARO (linux513)
The following kernels are installed in your system:
[manjaro /]#
I’ll let you follow the above guide to get logs then.
5.13
is EOL. Can you try booting with 5.10
as that is already installed. Press Esc during boot to get into grub menu > advanced options and boot with 5.10
.

Thank you - I rebooted using advanced options with 5.10 and there was no error - booted as expected.
so, what does this mean? Do I continue using old kernel 5.10 or upload log files or what?
5.10 is not old by any means. If you want you can switch to the latest LTS kernel which is 5.15. First make sure you are not on 5.13 and then remove it. Then you can boot with 5.15 or 5.10. As you wish.
uname -r #to check kernel version coz you don't want to remove a active kernel
sudo mhwd-kernel -r linux513
sudo pacman-mirrors --fasttrack 5 && sudo pacman -Syyu
sudo mhwd-kernel -i linux515

This my latest boot
[ultra@ultra-ms7b86 ~]$ mhwd-kernel -li
Currently running: 5.15.19-1-MANJARO (linux515)
The following kernels are installed in your system:
linux510
linux515
[ultra@ultra-ms7b86 ~]$
Thank you maycne.sonahoz and ishaanbhimwal for your responses and help!
Evidently kernel 515 rt must have been the problem, kernel 513 (on the live usb) worked fine, and kernels 510 and 515 works fine on the desktop. Is there anything else I should be aware of at this time?
Update your “rolling-release” distro regularly and check release announcements. That’s it.
