Manjaro-sway getting logged out

Thanks for this nice setup! One thing that’s a problem for me and I couldn’t google its solution is, that I leave my computer and when I come back my session is ended and I’m logged out, i.e. I find myself in the display manager. Is this a known issue or even a feature? If so how could I prevent this. (I don’t mean a lock screen but being logged out.) Thanks for any help.

Well, that sounds inconvenient;
Perhaps the relevant settings need a tweak or two.

I’m not a Sway user, so where those specific settings might be, I can’t say. Nonetheless, I’m sure someone will help when they are able.

In the meantime, please provide system information as described (below), and take some time to learn a little about the forum (useful links also below).

Regards.

Welcome to the Manjaro community

As a new or infrequent forum user, please take some time to familiarise yourself with Forum requirements, and the many ways to use the forum to your benefit:

Update Announcements

The Update Announcements contain important information and a Known Issues and Solutions section that should generally be checked before posting a request for support.

System Information

While information from *-fetch type apps might be fine for someone wishing to buy your computer, for Support purposes it’s better to ask your system directly; :eyes:

Output of the inxi command with appropriate parameters will achieve this (naturally, formatted according to forum guidelines) and will generally be more useful for those wishing to help:

inxi --filter --verbosity=8

or the short form:

inxi -zv8

Be prepared to provide output from other commands whenever asked. It’s equally important to provide as much actionable information as possible in your first post, rather than simply indicating there is a problem.

Sounds to me like a broken suspend process. Manjaro’s Settings for Sway will lock your session after time and then suspend. Check the journal for more information.

Sounds to me like a broken suspend process

suspending “by hand” is my current workaround; i.e. that seems to work.

Check the journal for more information
