Manjaro not boot when usb3 device connected

I have latest stable Manjaro Gnome on my HP 360 laptop. System is fully updated. If I connect an usb mouse or usb keyboard and power on laptop, there is only blank (black) screen without any logo, progressbar or nothing. In this state is laptop stucked until I disconnect usb device and do “hard restart” :slight_smile:

I also try to modify /etc/mkinitcpio.confand add

MODULES=(ohci-pci ehci-pci xhci_pci ohci_hcd ehci_hcd xhci_hcd hid_generic hid usbhid evdev)

but this modofication not resolve anything. What I can do please to boot with usb device connected?

open your bios and disable the option to boot from external devices. undo the changes in mkinitcpio and run

sudo mkinitcpio -P

to take effect.

ok I disable whole boot functionallity in bios and also revert changes in mkinit but nothing changes.

There are many ‘HP 360 laptops’, we need more information. Please post the output of:

Two things that hit me immediately:

  • switch from the experimental 6.6 kernel to the regular 6.5 or the 6.1LTS
  • update your bios, your F.17 is 3 years out of date, latest is F.32 from August 25 2023

So I updated bios to the last one and switch kernel to 6.5 but behavior is same :frowning:

please plug in the devices and post the output of these 2 commands with plugged devices.
