Can we get some insights here please? I see the terms ‘privacy’ being removed from the description pages too on the main Manjaro websites as well. People who use Linux see tools like mentioned here as kryptonite. The very reason we moved to Linux was to get away from this data collection.

OK, that data collection page is kind of cool.
Question: Is that all the data being collected? Or is there more? Will full disclosure of all data be presented to the user?
Last idea… I probably have little problem contributing to that data collection page, but the ability to enable or disable what data I share would be helpful.
For now, yes. But this is still a project under development.
Yes. With the current iteration of the tool in its testing phase, the user has the option of doing a dry run and seeing all the data, and then they can decide to upload the data or not.
There is currently a lot of discussion on the development thread — see the link posted higher up — regarding the privacy/GDPR implications, so I would advise monitoring that thread instead.
