Manjaro KDE 25.0.4 install fails

My point is this: Cant boot and install Manjaro Linux KDE 25.0.4 . And target disk is 2TB Unallocated nvme disk.
My motherboard is MSI MEG x670e Ace AM5, GPU is MSI GeForce rtx 4090 Suprim 24GB memory, CPU Ryzen 9 7950X3D. And i have installed Windows 11 to first disk Samsung SSD 990 Pro 2TB.
Here Is what i have done: Ensure that i have correct download and correct checksum. Created bootable media with rufus 4.9.
Problem is i start install with propiertary drivers, next i get Manjaro logo to screen. Then install starts endless loop.
I add nomodeset to boot options, not help probaply my error.
Next step: i choose opensource drivers, to install start but it goes to BIOS settings. Bios i have done this: secureboot disabled, disks are AHCI mode. Disabling fast boot, not optional with this BIOS.
Is it there commandline install option? Or is it there commands to use to get install done?? If there is, where add commands??

Best regards juuso

It is difficult to say - I have done several installations using virtual machines - using 25.0.4 ISO.

There is all kinds of hardware variations - when you say proprietary drivers - a laptop with dual gpu where the dGPU is Nvidia?

Sorry i forgot say that i have desktop pc not laptop

You will need an ISO with kernel 6.15 - I don’t think Linux 6.12 support the hardware well enough.

You will need to download a developer preview from Github

Please note the downloads a split zip archives.

If everything fauils - your CPU comes with built-in graphics - so could connect a display to the iGPU and start with free drivers.

If necessary - disable the Nvidia GPU - to get the system up and running.

Well i checked my 2nd linux pc and there is amd ryzen 9 7900x cpu.
And there Manjaro and other linux distros runs 100% .
So is it safe to assume amd ryzen 9 7000 series cpu works Manjaro Linux kernel version 6.12 ?
Or should i wait when Manjaro have stable kernel 6.15?
There is used ryzen cpus and starting price is 200USD thats why asking these questions.
best regards juuso

Your Ryzen 9 7950X3D should work with 6.12, there were Linux benchmark tests using an older kernel 6.2 way back in 2023, so your problem is something else.

I would recommend this instead:

You are totally right. I just removed Creative Sound Blaster AE-9 soundcard from my machine. Now Manjaro is installed and working like dream. Thank you one more time.

Just a correction and clarification:

  • Enable Fast Boot (the BIOS option)
  • Disable Windows Fast Startup (hibernation variant)

Interesting. For that soundcard you find a lot of reports being an issue with booting and other things … example: How to prevent initialization of Sound Blaster AE-9 that prevents boot / Kernel & Hardware / Arch Linux Forums
