Manjaro is on black screen after boot, can't login to other tty

I am going to point you to a normal/helpful routine:

No login screen after last update

Then I am going to say you can skip that if I can make assumptions about you having a problematic nvidia card:

Update borked something

Probably your card cant handle 495 … use mhwd to remove it and reinstall 470. https://wiki.manjaro.org/index.php/Configure_Graphics_Cards Example: mhwd -l -d sudo mhwd -r pci video-nvidia sudo mhwd -f -i pci video-nvidia-470xx systemctl reboot
