Manjaro i3 community edition screen does not feel 165hz high refresh rate

Hi All!

I recently installed Manjaro i3 (community edition) and set everything on my dual monitor setup in nvidia-settings but the screen does not feel like 165Hz at all.
My setup is:
Ryzen 5 3600
GTX 1660
Dual monitor - 2x Dell S2721DGF (165Hz G-Sync compatible)

Now what I’ve configured so far under X Server Display Configuration in nvidia-settings is this:
Resolution 2560x1440 , refresh rate 165Hz (same set on both displays)
Force Composition Pipeline enabled on both displays

Under OpenGL settings:
Sync to VBlank enabled
Allow Flipping enabled
Allow G-Sync/G-Sync compatible enabled

UFO Test (w w w . testufo . c o m) says: VSYNC is not available on the Linux platform.

Am I missing something?

The same setup on Manjaro KDE edition seemed much better and could notice that its running on 165Hz/FPS while dragging windows.
I would just like to use i3wm instead of KDE or XFCE or else.

You are of course aware that the human eye cannot register more than 30 frames per second, aren’t you?

yes I am aware  but I hope you guys know what I mean by that.
You can see that when moving a floating window its almost tearing.

That sounds like a compositor problem, which may or may not be related to the graphics driver.

I moved on from i3 on manjaro just to have it working.
Maybe in the future I’ll come back to it.

Thanks for the help!
