Manjaro gnome lag and stutter

Hello,
I’ve been into Manjaro for years and recently I decided to install the latest release from scratch.
I mostly dual boot Manjaro gnome and Win 7 on this laptop(MBR/BIOS).
So far I had no problems with Manjaro before and I been using optimus manager and always set it for Nvidia the whole time and had no problems at all, everything smooth.

Now, I installed the latest Manjaro release, the gnome one and from the very first seconds it was laggy and unresponsive(like 2 sec) and loads of stutter, like opening nautilus, closing a tab in google chrome, pressing Super…any action lead to this kind of stutter.
I had doubts about the iso file i downloaded, so I downloaded an other one and checked the hash, all is good and did an other fresh install and this time I configured my graphic settings : optimus manager, and nothing, using intel or nvidia leads to the same thing.

I did my long research here and nothing helped me, I’m really curious as to what causing this problem.

How to find the problem ?
Sorry about the long post, had to write those details in order to have high chance to fix my problem.

Two things I am wondering, are you using wayland?

Read quite often that gpt is better idea rather than mbr partition tables. Don’t know though if that could result in such problem…

I’m on Xorg, I disabled wayland for Optimus Manager.

Yes, I was thinking about it too, changing to GPT and from Bios to uefi might improve everything but have way too many important files in disk, maybe in the future …
