A couple extra things…
PRIME works well, and is usually how people want to use their laptop. That is most everything runs on the capable but power-efficient intel. And then they only fire up the power-hungry nvidia for specific tasks like 3D gaming. So for example in steam you add prime-run to the game boot options like so;
prime-run %command%
(now that game runs on the nvidia)
Note that while the driver profile from mhwd still needs to be the hybrid one…
If you really do want some sort of switcher utility and/or to be able to boot into one card or the other… tools do exist. I know envycontrol is considered to work well.
