Manjaro doesn't boot anymore after update

As I’ve written here, Manjaro doesn’t boot anymore with any kernel 5.x I have (5.4, 5.10, 5.15), only with 4.19, for which ironically(?) warnings/errors during the update process occurred. With any kernel 5.x I only see the Manjaro logo downright during the boot process. What can I do? Is it possible to revert to the previous update of 2022-06-24?

During the update process (to 2022-07-12), I got the following warnings:

depmod: WARNING: could not open modules.builtin.modinfo at /lib/modules/4.19.251-1-MANJARO: No such file or directory

depmod: WARNING: could not open modules.builtin.modinfo at /tmp/mkinitcpio.FRmAU8/root/lib/modules/4.19.251-1-MANJARO: No such file or directory

==> WARNING: errors were encountered during the build. The image may not be complete.

The command sudo pacman -Syu $(pacman -Qqen) is the solution. The system boots again in the kernels 5.x. Now I have to resolve the mkinitcpio issue.

It is a know bug, but does not have any impact on the image. Can be ignored.

Will be fixed with mkinitcpio version 31-3

There’s really no reason to keep that many kernels on the system.

Latest mainline and and latest LTS is usually enough.

At the moment I am running a custom kernel (Intel linux-clear)

Hello,

Now do this  if you haven’t already.

You will keep your original hooks and yes remmed means commented.

Cheers…
