MANJARO compatibility with Core i9 10885H

Hello everyone,

I just bought a Lenovo ThinkPad P1 Gen3/X1 Extreme Gen 3 with the following CPU:

Core i9 10885H - 32 GB RAM

It came with Windows and I wish to format it in order to run MANJARO/Gnome, just like on my current laptop. However I can across some topics where people had trouble running integrated graphics on i9 CPU’s on certain linux distros.

Does anyone know if I will run into trouble when formatting it and switching to MANJARO/Gnome?

Thanks for your time and help!

It’s easy o find out.

Download the 20.1 Manjaro Gnome ISO and burn/flash it to a USB stick.

Boot the USB stick and test out the live session to see how well it does.
(Be aware that some performance hit should be accounted for, since it’s running from a live session)

Thank’s. I will do so and get back with some feed-back for future users

I am running Arch based on a i9-9900K using integrated graphics on a Thinkstation P330 - no problems.

Except for heat issues I don’t think you will get any issues.

Thank you all for your inputs. I have now installed it on my machine and it works like a charm
