Manjaro Cinnamon user account will not autologin. Worked at initial setup. Not sure why it fails now.

GNU/Linux is a born multiuser system - while it is possible to autologin a given user - it creates other issues ad-hoc - like the one your are having now.
Try running lightdm-settings as super user.
Many people I have known over the years has always been annoyed by using passwords - but in the age where information has become gold - it has become even more necessary to protect the information from prying eyes.
You can of course use a simple one letter code - after all it is your system - but I’d strongly advise against it.
