Manjaro Cinnamon Edition Virtualbox nach letztem Update System nur im Software Rendering Mode nutzbar

Hallo,

ich benutze seit Januar Manjaro 20.2 Cinnamon Edition als Host und Gastsystem ( Onlinebanking, Spielsysteme) für Virtualbox.

Bisher gab es keine Probleme mit den Updates aber nach dem letzten großen Update von dieser Woche lassen sich die Virtuellen Maschinen nur noch im Software Rendering Mode betreiben.
Ich habe das Update sowohl beim Host als auch bei den Gastsystemen (bis auf eines) durchgeführt.

Anmeldung noch normal dann erscheint die Cinnamonleiste mit Menü und weißen Desktop statt dem normalen Hintergrundbild.

Die Leiste kann normal bedient werden , auch im Menü können die einzelnen Punkte angeklickt werden allerdings öffnen sich keine Fenster.

Sobald bei der Anmeldung Cinnamon im Rendering Mode angeklickt wird funktioniert alles wieder wie vorher.
Bei dem Gastsystem in dem ich das letzte Update vor ca. 3 Wochen durchgeführt hatte besteht das Problem nicht.
Die in der Systeminfo angezeigten Versionen von Cinnamon 4.8.6 und Graphiktreiber (VMware SVGAII) sind beim Gastsystem mit dem neuesten Update und dem mit älterem Update identisch.

Hat jemand eine Idee wo das Problem liegen könnte.

Ich würde mal vermuten, dass die “Guest Utils” in der VM nicht die selbe Version haben, wie das Host Module, oder einfach nicht da sind, Da kommt es vor, dass die 3D Beschleunigung auch nicht funktioniert.

Ich habe dann noch eine Neuinstallation eines Virtualbox Guests mit Manjaro 21.0.4 Cinnamon durchgeführt.
Anschliessend im Guest Update durchgeführt und in der Virtualbox unter Geräte-> Gasterweiterung einlegen die Gasterweiterung installiert.

Folgende Programme sind dann im Guest installiert:

Es besteht das gleiche Problem wie mit den “alten” Virtualbox guests ( Menüleiste wird korrekt angezeigt und kann bedient werden, Fenster sind nicht sichtbar )
Im Rendering Mode läuft wieder alles.
Andere Funktionalitäten der Gasterweiterung ( Shared folder, USB Zugriff ) funktionieren.

Habe ich alle nötigen Module installiert oder hast Du sonst noch eine Idee ???

Was sagen denn deine Xorg logs? Irgendwelche Fehler?

Ich hatte zum Beispiel diesen Fehler hier, wenn ich die 3D Beschleunigung in Virtualbox aktiviert habe:

Mit ausgeschalteter 3 D Beschleunigung verhält sich das System wie im Software Rendering Mode .

Habe in der VM dann unter Manjaro Settings → Hardware → Displaycontroller ( VMWARE405) noch die Module video-modesetting und video-vesa installiert .

Ich hatte gedacht das dann evtl. zu mindestens die Fehlermeldung Failed to load module “vesa” (module does not exist, 0) verschwinden würde, was sich negativ ausgewirkt hat ( es erscheint kein Login Screen mehr ).

Da ich die virtuellen Maschinen ausschliesslich zum Onlinebanking oder ausprobieren von Software verwende denke ich das ich ohne 3D Beschleunigung leben kann.

Evtl. behebt sich das Problem mit einem der nächsten Updates ja wieder.

Was ist Deine Meinung ???
