Make fullscreen application ignore certain keycodes

Is it possible to force a fullscreen application to ignore certain keycodes?

Ultimately I want my freerdp session to ignore the multimedia keycodes, so I can use my function keys to pass through to kde connect without going to my windows session.

I wonder if a KDE Window Rule to “Ignore Global Shortcuts” would help, and the right matching so it applies when fullscreen.
