Lost realtime priority

My jack servery suddenly from nowhere started to trow xruns and I lost real time priority permission.
thats becuse realtime-privileges package have no effect when Im in the realtime group.

I have to use /etc/security/limits.conf file to get priority. an update removed it. I think there is a problem here. this file /etc/security/limits.d/99-realtime-privileges.conf dos not seem to have an effect.

Doubt that as is part of pam package that is a core package …

Is one custom made by you or is the one from the realtime-privileges community package?
Check again and reinstall those packages:

sudo pacman-mirrors -f && sudo pacman -Syyu pam realtime-privileges

Not sure, but might also want to check what kernel you boot on.

something removed my username from /etc/security/limits.conf

marbangens rtprio 99
marbangens memlock unlimited

and only that will give me rt. no groups work
Im the only one that experience this?

I use 5.9.1-1-rt19-MANJARO #1 SMP PREEMPT_RT

Reinstalling the exact same package from cache did fix it. Something broke the first install.

still works when I have rebooted, at this point have not edited /etc/security/limits.conf
and I’m in realtime and audio groups. this file /etc/security/limits.d/99-realtime-privileges.conf
have effect now.
