Lost background applications in my system tray (Manjaro KDE)

I got it!
I was looking at the various settings and the tab in the system tray settings is called “Application Status”, so I though the [Module-statusnotifierwatcher] was the setting to change. After changing it to true, the apps are back again! Thank you for all the help!

Edit: so for reference, the solution to the problem is going to the file .config/kded5rc and changing the option [Module-statusnotifierwatcher] from autoload=false to autoload=true or simply removing the lines as that seems to be the default value.

I just came back to post that I came to the same conclusion… Except I figured it out via trial-and-error and it took me 5 times longer to figure it out. :upside_down_face:

I’m glad we’ve found a concrete solution, though.

Oh, and technically, the solution is changing the autoload parameter of [Module-statusnotifierwatcher] to true from false. (I think just removing the line works as well, as true is probably the default value.)

I’ve updated my solution to include that, thanks hahaha
