Looking for a program to create a bootable USB stick for a Mac

Hello eveyone,

had to create a bootble USB stick for a Mac and now I am loookin for a programme to do it. It’s a .dmg file btw.
Now surprisingly I found out lately that RUFUS on windows is actually doing a good job. So I have this on windows, and now looking for sth. on Manjaro.
Finally I cloned balena etcher and built it via the pamac GUI. seems to work, it’s still creating the stick…

But my question now: I found there is quite a lot of sooftware by DEEPIN Linux. Can I use that on KDE / Manjaro? Or do I get funny and buggy libraries all over?

Thanks
B

Looking for what now?

FYI, Balena Etcher is available in the Manjaro community repo as etcher, no need to install anything from the AUR.

What does Deepin have to do with your original query? One subject per topic, please.

OK. Trying to make it clearer

  • I do not have a mac, but need to create a bootstick for a mac (friend’s).
  • lets forget about DEEPIN then
  • " YI, Balena Etcher is available in the Manjaro community repo as etcher , no need to install anything from the AUR."

OK. I will look again.

Thanks,
B

Which os do you need to make a bootable stick of? linux stick for mac-machine or vice-versa?

Making a bootable stick has nothing to do with macOS. But if you are looking for something to make a bootable stick scecific for a macbook (assuming making a bootable stick from windows or linux didn’t work), then i’m afraid there’s nothing you can do on a non-macbook. Instead give your friend instructions for it.
