Locking/unlocking too fast causes "locker is broken and unlocking is not possible"

When you are too fast during the lock/unlocking of the phone it will show the black locker is broken and unlocking is not possible.

I already have auto-lock disabled which makes this appear less but it still happens quite often when I press the hardware screen on/off button too fast in succession.

Restarting sddm is not enough - you need to reboot the phone.

Doing the sddm restart the phone is stuck at an init console screen which includes the following errors (not sure if these are even related):

thremal_sys: Failed to find `trips` node
lima 1c400000.gpu: error -ENODEV: _opp_set_regulators: no regulator (mail) found
pinephone-keyboard: 2-0015: error -NXIO: Failed to read device ID

This issue has persistent for months now.

I am running the “Beta Edition” and with the latest updates (including Plasma 5.26) installed.

The error message appear not to be related tot his.

But now Phone no longer working - "locker is broken and unlocking is not possible" - #22 by Kevin_Kofler appears to be back. I also had this happen when booting up the phone. It does not happen all the time though but without any user interaction.
