Lock screen is not working when battery tray icon is enabled. Why?

I am using a laptop and the lock screen doesn’t work. When I close the lid I get a prompt “none of the screen lock tools”. I tried the posts already out there and fixed it. I noticed the icon was missing. I enabled it again and the problem came back. Took it back, took the problem away.

I’d like to know how much battery I have at a glance. What should I do?

I “Solved it” left click on the bottom right panel. Panel-> Add new item. Battery widget. But the question of why still holds. (Edit: the “none of the screen lock tools” prompt remains but the screen lock does work.
