Loadkeys: Unable to open file: at: No such file or directory

Hi,

following I will write about titled problem + solution for documentation reason to help other people, who may stumble across the same problem (please correct me if something is wrong):

If you update or install a new kernel the following error appears:

   -> Running build hook: [keymap]
loadkeys: Unable to open file: at: No such file or directory

After searching around the internet I found out, this build hook reads the file /etc/vconsole.conf.
In this file is the line “KEYMAP=”. In my case “KEYMAP=at”, but there is no keytable for “at” provided by the kbd package in /usr/share/kbd/keymaps/i386/qwertz/

So I set “KEYMAP=de” in vconsole.conf and error was gone.

So far I know they are the same: QWERTZ - Wikipedia :wink:
