Loading Time from Gnome Display Manager to Desktop quite long after Mainboard Switch

Hey, I recently switched my mainboard (the same model). After switching the loading of the desktop takes quite long after having typed my password (10-15sec). I tried finding an error using journalctl, but I couldn’t find anything noteworthy at least from my experience.

Hello friend! To have a better understanding of the situation, could you share the output of the following commands?

systemd-analyze

systemd-analyze blame

While this might not be related to the issue, I noticed that you’re using vivaldi-bin, presumedly from the AUR; I see no obvious need for this, as vivaldi is available via the official repositories (extra):

sudo pacman -S vivaldi

Is a reinstall my best/easiest option?

You could remove Plymouth, and arguably regain up to one third of that boot delay. Keep in mind though that removing Plymouth is not as simple as uninstalling it. Please see:

Scroll down to the heading of REMOVAL for the correct procedure to remove Plymouth.

Aside:- It looks like you’ve done this before although that attempt seems much more complicated than it needed to be.

Cheers.
