[linux59] Steam games not working

None of my steam games work when i boot using the linux59 kernel, but they work with linux58.
Any ideas?

Start steam from terminal, there might be a hint what goes wrong.

Have you tried the 455 drivers instead of 450 with kernel 5.9?

I thought they were meant to not work from the beginning with 5.9 kernel according to what Nvidia said?

455 drivers work fine with kernel 5.9 i think it was just cuda and opencl that weren’t working but they are fixed now.

I had similar problem which was fixed by installing vulkan-mesa-layers, your mileage may vary.

Ok i will try again with the 455 driver again tomorrow.

The games use vulkan, so let’s see if that fixes things.

Update:
Switching to the 455 driver made things work again in combination with the 5.9 kernel :+1:
