Lightdm fails, nvidia fails to initialize kernel module

Thank you for your link and the correct command.

I believe that there are quite a few others who struggled with the same or similar issues - I found quite a few posts about this. I used to “Add/Remove Software” tool to update my system - after the reboot, I expereinced the issues. So it is likely to happen to others, too.
