Liferea package update?

Thanks for the tip. It’s just that I recently made efforts to completely wipe flatpak off my system because of Xdg-document-portal.service delaying my system shutdown due to some running ‘stop jobs’. So unfortunately flatpak is not an option.

I’m curious as to how you get that from the mbn info liferea -q output? Is it because of the ‘…@archlinux.org’ email addresses?

By the way, thanks for this hint. I was searching more information for this mysterious mbn command yesterday which I didn’t know about and couldn’t find any useful information at first. I even came to the false conclusion you might have mistyped and meant man which didn’t make sense either. Upon rereading the post I finally noticed the small little hint and everything made sense.

Does this come with any consequences? I can only assume someone is getting alerted over this.

Despite the current issues, I’m not very keen on installing AUR packages if there’s a better alternative. But thanks for the tip. I’ve noticed the git version myself yesterday when checking pamac GUI for liferea.

I dug a little deeper yesterday and (thanks to your ‘Archlinux’ hint) came across the Archlinux Gitlab page for liferea. It seems there has been some activity recently (last week) because the last commit is titled ‘upgpkg: 1.16.1’ which I assume means ‘Upgrade package’.
There’s also an open issue talking about the newest version 1.16.3.

This gives me hope there might be coming an update soon and makes me doubt it would be a good idea to ask about any progress over there which would only create stress. I think it’s best to wait and hope.
