Libreoffice can't open calc files

Hello, I can’t get libreoffice to open any calc files.
I can open the files with ark and with google sheets so I know the files are ok.
not sure what to do next.
It claims that the files are corrupt and can’t be fixed.

Thanks! (everything is updated)

I have a number of LibreOffic Calc files which open without any problems on an up-to-date system.

What is the exact error message you get?

Can you create a new file, save it, close calc, and still open the new file?

Could you have saved these files in some other app which could have altered something?

Depending on what the exact error is, you could maybe try using Ark to extract the content.xml file and use something like xmllint --valid --noout content.xml to check the xml part of the file for errors.

OK, I have NO explanation for this.
I though your idea about saying a test file was good so I did it and it worked perfectly. So then I tried to open the files that would not open and they now open just fine.
These files are all .ods files.
I have not used any other files.
I have not even turned off the computer or even put it to sleep.
Anyway. Currently don’t have any problems with this.
I am a programmer and I find this VERY odd behavior!!!

Thanks for your help.
