LibreOffice and wayland doesn't work well together

Hi,
I use LO Base quite often and there is one field which allows displaying multiline text (I’m not sure how you call this in English). Since I switched from X to wayland I have the problem that whatever has been displayed in the area of this field, sticks, even if I change the database entry. This way, text overlaps and most of it becomes just a dark (black) mass which cannot be read. I found that if I highlight with the mouse the text in the field, I can read it, but as soon as the highlight is removed, the black mass is there again, i.e. all things which have been displayed in that area before are there. I guess this has to do with wayland, but I am not sure.

The element you are referring to could be a layout element - I call it a text box - the element has positional properties - which ensures the text stays within certain parameters.

The box is - in english - Insert → Textbox → then draw a rectangle and fill in some text or it could be part of a template pulling content from a database.

The style of this element is possilby a theming issue with libreoffice.

Sorry for not replying earlier, there were too many things going on here. I have no intention to create a text box, it’s already there. I have a form in the database (actually more than one form) with multi line textboxes, and when I open an entry in the database using that form, and then go to the next, the text in that text-box from the previous entry appears in the textbox of the next entry, plus the text of that other entry, which leads to an unreadable section, because the letters are on top of each other. If there is a third entry opened, then that text is added, too, and so on. There is basically no refresh, but that applies only to such multi-line textboxes, all other textboxes that are not multi-line are ok and refresh when a new entry is opened.
