Lenovo IdeaPad 5 Pro - Display Resolution Issues

The default resolution for my laptop is: 2880px x1800px. In order to make the display large enough to see, I made the following adjestment in Settings:

Window Scaling - 2

However, in some applications including GIMP, and Audacious interface elements such as the Menu Bar and text is still too small. How can I resolve this issue please?

Merry Christmas and thanks in advance

At least on the x11 version of xfce, there is something wrong with this setting and it does not work as expected. Maybe the display scaling setting works better with wayland, but not with x11. Contrary to the logic however, the dpi setting for fonts also controls gui elements in 99,9% of the apps. Revert display and go to appearance and font settings, below is the dpi -default is 96. Make it 120 and test, then test 144 etc. Be careful not to make too big steps cause elements of the window will be outside the screen and it may be hard to revert (that is why reset display zoom first).

Many thanks. 144 works well for me.
