Lenovo 100e Chromebook touchpad not working properly

Hello,

I have just installed the Xfce minimal version on my Lenovo 100e Chromebook 3rd Gen. Touchpad tap-to-click function does not work. Corner buttons, left and right, are alright.

Please give me some advice.

Thank you.

Hello @konras and welcome :wink:

Advice: Search for “Tapping” right here → https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/libinput#Configuration

Check if Tap touchpad to click is enabled in xfce4-mouse-settings

Tap touchpad to click

When this option is selected, tapping the touchpad with your finger will preform the same action as clicking the primary mouse button. The device property Synaptics Tap Action will be set to 1 2 3 ….

To click, tap on the touchpad. To double-click, tap twice. To drag an item, double-tap but don’t lift your finger after the second tap. Drag the item where you want it, then lift your finger to drop.

You may need to add the following to your configuration

 $ cat /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/30-touchpad.conf
Section "InputClass"
    Identifier "touchpad"
    Driver "libinput"
    MatchIsTouchpad "on"
    Option "Tapping" "on"
EndSection
