Latte Dock - Advanced Mode

I have a problem with latte dock that when i try to switch to advanced mode (on the git version) it instead just reboots latte dock.

There’s some oddly specific times it happens, I’m not sure if it’s important but I will include them. My normal dock is on the bottom and clicking new dock creates one on the left side. I can sometimes click the advanced mode in the position but then it won’t move the top. If i move it to the top then try to enable advanced mode it does as described. I want a floating dock/panel on the top and for that I need the advanced mode.
