Latest update caused several issues

HI after the latest update i am getting all sorts of issues
Kaffeine runs for a while then seg faults out
[000079cb8002f540] main decoder error: buffer deadlock prevented
[000079cb6826bba0] vaapi_filters filter: yadif algorithm not available, falling back to x algorithm

[000079cb6826bba0] vaapi_filters filter: yadif algorithm not available, falling back to x algorithm
Segmentation fault (core dumped)

Firefox i can no longer full screen it just crashes out with the report screen showing
on YouTube it is even worse if you need more let me know
with the SpaceX ITF5 up coming i need this system working faultlessly it has been great prior to the last update i am a former Arch user

Run it from a terminal and post the error logs.

Same as above. Run firefox in a terminal and post the error logs.

Some users claim YouTube has been intentionally doing this with Firefox. Could be due to detecting an ad blocker.

We’ll need more information about your system to help you. inxi -Fazy is a good start.

Huh? Not for me.

Hi Yoel Thanks for replying i will get that sorted and post them out for a couple of days now soon as i get back i will sort it.

Rare species - you are - Arch Linux users usually stay with Arch.

But as Arch Linux user, you know everything worth knowing about your system - right?

Could be a corrupted profile - start firefox with a new profile

firefox --ProfileManager

You have 8 GB of RAM and no Swap.
This may not be the cause of a problem here - but it is bound to become one rather sooner than later.
Create a swap file.

Swap file created and on see what difference it makes thanks for your help by the way

(Note: I can’t post direct links here. Please search for the mentioned resources.)

Since the last update (2024-07-01), I also experienced Firefox crashes when visiting WebGL-dependent pages like Google Maps. The issue was related to the old radeon driver. I solved it by switching to amdgpu, as described in the AMDGPU Arch Wiki page.
