Latest Manjaro XFCE Update

The HP Envy Intel Core i5 that I’m using just stays on a black screen refusing to boot…I don’t think this has to do with NVIDIA drivers as mine runs on Skylake. However due to my limited coding knowledge, I may be wrong? Can anybody give me a string of code to solve this problem?
I was only able to boot back into the system using a boot key with XFCE unpacked for installation. I really don’t want to lose my desktop settings and all of the effort. I think it might be the latest Kernel update causing the problem? Please advise?

Can anybody help me? I have reinstalled the previous Kernel using the graphical interface. Can anybody give me a suggestion what else could be causing a black screen unable to boot… should I reinstall Grub?

This is the message I received after reinstalling Grub. ArmingConditionNeeds update (Please advise how to do this?) Thank you!
