In that log eDP-1 is empty however his monitor is working so I think that might not be something to search for? However I can see that in my log

No lucky. Still the same. Even in the log everything is the same.
okay let’s try something else and check the behaviour with wayland instead.
install the “plasma-wayland-session” and reboot. at the login-screen check the left-bottom of the display. there you can choose wayland or x11. switch to wayland and see if there’s a change under wayland.
I’ve installed plasma-wayland-session but in KDE it seems buggy as @brahma said.
Whenever I select Wayland and login it goes black screen with one line in terminal and only keeps restarting to login screen.
okay so turn back to x11. i’m running out of ideas, your monitor eDP1 is shutdown and i wonder why it is not activated.
are there any bios-settings that could interfere ?

With i915.modeset=0 Laptop screen is printing booting messages and get stuck at Starting Hostname Service and not working sddm. So maybe modeset=0 is good mode but how to run the system?
i think we’re getting closer. let me think a little bit. what happens if you boot to the point were it gets stuck and you change via ALT-F to a different text-console ? is there a text console that you can login ?
