Laptop keyboard and touchpad do nothing after opening the lid after sleep

I have had this issue for a while. In brief the problem is: after closing the lid of my laptop it goes to sleep, but after opening the laptop again the keyboard, touch pad are not working, meaning that I can’t press the ENTER button and enter my password to log back in. Therefore I am forced to force power off (hold the power button) and turning the laptop back on.
I am running 5.15.60-1-MANJARO with GNOME

It’s known to happen with laptops using Nvidia.
