Laptop shuts down to a black screen with some boot text at the top left but does not power off, so I have to press and hold the power button, then press again if restart required. I found a similar report with a solution for Gnome [Manjaro won't completely shut/power off] but the GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT command line to be edited is different in KDE, so I don’t want to make any changes without advice. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
That line has nothing to do with the desktop environment. It exclusively deals with the parameters that need to be passed to either the kernel or to systemd/udev ─ in this case, parameters regarding the hardware.
Problem resolved itself after update to Qonos on 24th January.
