I don’t need installation help. Yesterday I successfully installed Manjaro (clean install on an ext4 formatted partition). I just want to remark that the KDE install media was unable to start Wayland: it was always stuck on a blank screen.
Sometimes it got unstuck by itself, by pressing ^c, or by starting user-runtime-dir@1000.service in another tty.
I spent an afternoon figuring out different issues. But I’m not sure I understand this one. The journal shows that kwin_wayland_wr failed (abort), and that SDDM falls back on X11. Why? Sometimes the user-runtime-dir@956.service (which I guess is the sddm user?) failed.
