Keyboard not working properly after update

Hi everyone,

I’ve recently experience an issue with my keyboard after updating to 5.11.18-1.
The lower half of the keyboard stopped working. Seldom they work, sometimes in combination with other keys.
It already happened once and somehow it got fixed. i try to roll back to previous kernel version and reinstall the drivers, but it didn’t work.
Any suggestions?

try to upgrade kernel 5.12

:+1: Welcome to Manjaro! :+1:

  1. Please read this:
    How to provide good information
and post some more information so we can see what’s really going on. Now we know the symptom of the disease, but we need some more probing to know where the origin lies…
  2. An inxi --admin --verbosity=7 --filter --no-host --width would be the minimum required information… (Personally Identifiable Information like serial numbers and MAC addresses will be filtered out by the above command)
Also, please copy-paste that output in-between 3 backticks ``` at the beginning and end of the code/text.
  3. Try what Olli just said and if that doesn’t work: just the bottom part not working sounds like a hardware error. Have you tried another keyboard already?

Thanks,

I tried several times to paste it, but the forum kept saying that I´m not allowed to insert links in my post due to sequential periods. In the meantime I needed to buy an external keyboard and it works fine.
Anyway, I put spaces around the periods and this is the result:

I tried, but didn’t change. In the meantime I bought a new keyboard and it works fine.
Thus, I think it’s a mechanical issue.

  1. That’s why I said:

  2. In the future, when providing code/output, please copy-paste that output in-between 3 backticks ``` at the beginning and end of the code/text so that the output looks like this:

    instead of like this:

(as that makes both our lives much easier)
