Keyboard layout reset on system boot

Since i’ve started using Manjaro my default keyboard setup has always been AZERTY but in the recent weeks / months the layout reset itself on a QWERTY layout on start up which force me to manually change it back . This PC is almost always ON so it’s not a big issue but it would be nice if i could fix this permanently , thanks !

It’s probably the fcitx/fcitx5 issue that so many people here were bitten by. For some bizarre reason, that ended up installed on many people’s system even though they didn’t need it.

If you do not require support for bidirectional input — considering that you’re using AZERTY (as do I :stuck_out_tongue:), I strongly suspect that you don’t need this — then I would advise you to remove it from your system.
