Keyboard inactive when I reboot from Windows 11

Hello !
I have a problem with my keyboard on Manjaro-Grub

I have a dual boot Manjaro/Windows11/Archlinux

When I run Manjaro and reboot the system, my keyboard boot without issue

But if I boot on Windows and then I reboot the system, the keyboard are inactive on Manjaro-Grub

The only solution Ive found for temporary fix the problem are to do an advanced reboot on Windows, wait the end of the counter in Manjaro-Grub with windows pre-selected, boot on Archlinux from Windows boot manager, then reboot the system, and then the keyboard works… Until my next boot on Windows :frowning:

I wanted to delete my Archlinux now I have Manjaro but I need Arch to boot Manjaro

So my question: There are a way to activate keyboard on Manjaro-Grub?

I tried to increase the GRUB timeout at 50seconds, and I set keyboard at top priority in mkinitcpio, without effect :frowning:

Thanks ^^

(Sorry for my bad english ^^’)

EDIT: Here my config:

Have you already disabled windofs “fast boot” ?

What about setting manjaro as “default” in grub

(So you don’t need the keyboard to get to manjaro)

mkinitcpio (kernel and initrd) run after grub has completed
So changing anything inside mkinitcpio will NOT help.

Hi, I updated my post with the system config sorry the late answer ^^

Yes I disabled the Windows fast boot
And about setting Manjaro as default… well like this when I reboot from Windows11 I cant reboot on Windows 11, I will hav to boot on Manjaro and then reboot on Windows

Windows and Linux cohabitation are complicated xD

You will have to search for it, but there is something like
Please UEFI, boot to …
At least from manjaro you can specify where the next boot should go to. For example you can specify to boot into UEFI-Config instead into grub

This is done via a variable in EFI

Yep for now is disabled saved last boot and set always default boot on Manjaro, now if I need to boot on Windows (gaming time!) I have to boot on manjaro, and reboot, and then keyboard works on Grub

At least for boot on Manjaro I dont have to boot on Windows boot manager, then boot on ArchLinux, reboot the system to return to Grub (now with the keyboard) and select Manjaro, thats better now ^^’

I searched a bit in GRUB config and I find the variable GRUB_PRELOAD_MODULES, there are a module to load an USB keyboard?
