Trying to run kdiskmark get this error message:
No FIO was found. Please install FIO before using KDiskMark
Of course, fio is installed (Packages (1) fio-3.28-1)
Is there a way to fix this?

See if by upgrading fio from testing branch will solve your issue:
sudo pacman -U https://mirror.moson.org/manjaro/testing/community/x86_64/fio-3.28-2-x86_64.pkg.tar.zst
thanks v. much - that solves the problem 
fio fio 3.28-2 is now pushed to the stable branch. Apparently there was a rebuild required that Arch missed initially.
