KDE Plasma desktop configuration resets after update

All Widgets and Wallpaper changed suddenly KDE Plasma

Could possibly be this bug. https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=427861 Workaround is to keep a copy of ~/.config/plasma-org.kde.plasma.desktop-appletsrc and then restore it once the issue occurs but not sure if notes can also be recovered
