Discover is supported by KDE devs, it has a good integration with plasma addons (and it’s basically how they are intended to be installed and removed, there is no other way to properly manage them). Discover looks more consistent because it’s not made with gtk. And it just has a more familiar behaviour with other app stores.

discover is in the extra repo, anyone is free to install it. However, since Discover relies on packagekit-qt5 in order to support repo packages…
Warning: PackageKit opens up system permissions by default, and is otherwise not recommended for general usage. See FS#50459 and FS#57943.
