KDE copy files - speed issue when using multiple monitors

see previous post:

It’s strange, but it seems that reading/writing speed issues occur when using multiple monitors w/ KDE (possibly multiple taskbars as well).
I have tested w/ different systems and when I remove the screens on a multiscreen system, the copying speed is hundred times faster.

Check and see if your BIOS has a setting for onboard VGA. If it is on, disable that. It can cause performance degradation of drives.

I tested with onboard and PCIE graphics systems (single and multiple monitors).
The problem only occurs with multiple monitors and it worsens again with 3 monitors compared to 2 monitors.
As soon as only a single monitor is used speed is fast again.
