JRE Upgrades Successfully but is Still Available (or just doesn't build)?

I’m encountering an issue where the latest JRE update doesn’t build. I tried posting on the AUR forum, but they bounced it back saying that platforms other than Arch aren’t supported.

UPDATE:
Since I wrote this, the issue is now that the PDGBUILD not existing:

Preparing...
Synchronizing package databases...
Checking jre dependencies...
Resolving dependencies...
Checking inter-conflicts...

Building jdk...
==> ERROR: PKGBUILD does not exist.

I’m not sure where to go from here.

Why are you installing a JRE AUR package (which one?) when jre-openjdk is in the official repos?

From what I recall, there was some issue where the package maintainer didn’t update it for a long time despite a request to do so.

I needed that particular version to accesss and build Java applications which I develop, so I guess I’ll switch back to the official one

jre-openjdk is an Arch Extra package and was updated two days ago. You can switch to the testing or unstable branch for the latest version: Manjaro - Branch Compare
