Issues installing via ISO's with kernels newer than 5.4

Should I run this from the working Manjaro machine?with kernel 5.4?
(With 5.8 kernel the terminal doesn’t work properly in live environment)

IMAGE FROM 5.8 LIVE ENVIRONMENT (Logs app)

Yes, you can provide the inxi -Fxza --no-host from the working live session too.
Also you can provide the logs as text format, not screenshots. I can’t search in screenshots.
If they are very long, use this service to post them https://pastebin.com/ then link them here.

if the ISO with the 5.4 kernel is old, like 19 version, there might be issues. many things changed since. You could try the minimal version of the latest ISO that come with 5.4 kernel.

Ok, so you are using the latest minimal ISO with 5.4 kernel. To troubleshoot the installation, please follow this and provide that information if the install fails again:

legacy mode is disabled in bios…i can install every iso with kernel 5.4…but any isos with newer kernel is the problem…i thought my machine is very old…but you are using 1st gen i7 and u can run 5.8 kernel fine…
so what is the problem with my system
i am trying to get the info from logs app in 5.8 live environment

and in live environment(5.8) nothing works properly…no internet…the terminal even malfunctions

i currently have 20.1 with 5.4…i can manually install and use 5.8.6 properly…just sometimes it gets stuck during boot with boot logo…then after 2…3 hard restart it then starts normally with 5.8…
my super duper strange machine!!!

Is hard to speculate. Could be just a simple glitch, or a setting in the BIOS, or ISO corrupted … You have to check that possibility too.

i have tried installing 20.0, 20.0.2, 20.0.3, 20.1rc4, 20.1rc5 (tried fedora 32) …everywhere exactly same issue…newer kernels not working properly for some reason(I think)!

If you can get the logs of calamares, then we might be able to identify the issue.

Have you tried to update the BIOS too?

While it seems there is some 2019 release

I have no experience with this model. Proceed with caution if you decide to do that.

my bios is uptodate…last update released 2nd half of 2018

MHWD DONE

You provided the MHWD install log from Live Session, not the calamares log.

MHWD is not meant to be used like that in Live Session. You chose the nonfree driver at grub and then the script MHWD prepares the live session to use the proper drivers, so when you make the actual install, same drivers are used.

how to provide calamares log? terminal is unusable in live session

So, we are not communicating very efective it seems  or you did not read this part of my comment

There is a link there that explains in detail all that.

Why is that? I can use it perfectly fine.

no no…i know how to provide the calamares log
but with 5.8 the terminal is unsuable…if i type sudo -E calamres -d the cursor just jumps to the 2nd line and nothing happens

calamares log from 5.4 live session? would that b helpful?

If that is a successful install will not help us trace the issue with the 5.8 kernel install.

some specific family cpu failed to boot with 5.7 or 5.8 kernels ,
this is haswell & ivy bridge

stay on version 5.4 lts or 4.19 lts

yes… I am running 20.1 with 5.4 now
is there any another way to get calamares log with 5.8?
