Issue Emptying Trash Using Trash Icon On Desktop?

Hi,

When I empty trash using the icon on the desktop
the trash empties but the icon on the desktop does not change to empty trash?

Any ideas?

From the back of my mind check if you have some “zombie” items under .local/share/Trash (the trash location) and delete them (possibly with root rights), there should be only ‘files’ and ‘info’ directories.

The KDE desktop doesn’t refresh in real time all the time. Sometimes it doesn’t refresh at all you need to reboot for change on Desktop to be shown.

Also by default there is no Trash icon on the desktop, you added it I think.

I think it’s working now…
I deleted the icon, then dragged trash from file explorer to desktop…
