Hello, is there a kernel with the same features as CachyOs, if not which kernel offers the best performance in Manjaro?
Thanks in advance for your answers!
Hello @Doudou
Manjaro uses the generic kernel with minimal patches. There is no such “performance kernel”.
Manjaro also offers a modified kernel that uses the real-time patch set. This is important, for example, if you work a lot with audio.
However, you are free to compile your own kernel with the patch set of cachyos und use it in Manjaro.
Hi @Doudou,
In addition to what @megavolt said, I’ll just mention that the kernel is probably in the list of CatchyOS-related packages in the AUR:

So it can probably installed with:
pamac build linux-cachyos
HOWEVER:
Do note that I have never done this, so do not have a clue if anything else is required or what might break.
…and cannot expect support here, if something breaks with your custom kernel.
It’s an AUR package. Kind of silly to have to point that out.
Thank you very much !
It’s not, really. You’d be surprised how many support request there are for AUR packages. It’s a disclaimer that I forgot to add to my answer.
No worries, I don’t use it on my production machine, it’s just for fun!
My previous answer wasn’t for you (about being careful with AUR packages). Manjaro itself comes without warranty as far as I know, otherwise enlighten me
