Is pacman-contrib removed in the last update?

I used to run paccache to trim older versions of installed packages. But then after the most recent updates, I found out that paccache is no longer installed, and I had to install pacman-contrib to make it available again in my system. Did the update remove pacman-contrib? If so, should I have not reinstalled it?

pacman-contrib was split from pacman.
