I used to be able to encode with ffmpeg using the nvenc codec. I updated my system recently and I got the message:
Driver does not support the required nvenc API version. Required: 12.0 Found: 11.1
My system has a 470 series nvidia driver installed (my gpu is nvidia quadro m1000m). It seems that I need nvidia 500+ series drivers. It seems that my driver is supported (see here). How can I install driver?
