Installing Microphone driver on Manjaro

Hello, Manjaro isn’t detecting my mic, perhaps it’s a driver issue. The mic I want to use is Boya by-m1.

Here is my output info

From the pictures, it uses a jack plug, so a driverless standard.

That’s more likely your problem.
I know there are many PulseAudio+PipeWire related threads here, you may likely find a solution in one of those.

In addition to dealing with the 2 software sound servers, it may also help to update motherboard BIOS

Is the microphone plugged in to the laptop headset jack or microphone jack on USB device?

All 3 audio devices appear to have the correct Linux drivers. It is more likely that microphone capture inputs are not turned on: Audio capture is usually turned off by default

If microphone is plugged in to laptop headset jack , use this command to check ALSA audio controls:

amixer --card=1

If the microphone is plugged in to USB device use option --card=2
